PaperWise partners with PROVOX System Planning in Germany to provide document management solution to government offices across Europe

Bad Eilsen, Germany – January 9, 2007 – Microsoft Certified partner PROVOX System Planning joined as a PaperWise OEM partner in late 2006 and will implement the document management system with a number of existing customers in the next few weeks. PROVOX, a manufacturer of an agenda and planning management system for organizations, government and council administration, sought a flexible document management system that could be integrated with their software and create a truly robust solution.

Unlike other document management systems, which may be too rigid, integration with PaperWise provides the flexibility needed to achieve supreme functionality with the PROVOX system. “One of the reasons they wanted to partner with us is because of our flexibility,” Dan Murrill, PaperWise Manager of Strategic Partner Relationships, says. As an OEM partner, PROVOX will sell the system under its own brand name and the tag “Powered by PaperWise.”

Markus Vogt, owner of PROVOX, traveled to Dallas in the summer of 2006 to meet with Dan Langhofer, PaperWise President and CEO, and some other PaperWise team members. Just a few months later, the software’s interface as well as some marketing materials have been translated into German. For now, PROVOX plans to implement PaperWise with their existing customers. They later plan to work their way into other verticals and eventually plan to expand to other countries throughout Europe, including Austria and Switzerland. Currently, PROVOX has contracts with three city governments in Germany (Hessisch Oldendorf, Emmerthal, Herrsching) and have implemented a fourth system in the home of their headquarters, Bad Eilsen.

PROVOX currently provides solutions to more than 500 communities. With their planning software, organizations can effectively coordinate appointments, availability, and meeting spaces. Existing hardware or software such as cell phones and servers can be quickly integrated with PROVOX. Regardless of the input device, a record of usage is immediately available from the database to staff with access permissions. Although their system helps many city governments to achieve order within their complicated schedules, the paper-ridden processes also need a document management solution to help them achieve even greater efficiency. “Marrying the PaperWise software with their meeting and planning software will really bring them to a new level of organization,” Murrill says. PROVOX users who implement PaperWise will be able to enjoy instant document retrieval, unrivaled levels of customizable security, and customized workflows among other features.

During a recent trip to Germany, four PaperWise team members trained PROVOX associates on customizing the software so they can accomplish integrations independently. They were also able to visit several city governments where PROVOX is used. “The visits gave us a real good feel of how highly their customer base regards them,” Murrill says. Reciprocally, PaperWise will begin to market PROVOX’s agenda and planning management system to customers in the future. “Any large organization that has a lot of meetings with people and space to manage can use the software,” Murrill says. “It really takes care of the complete process of planning a successful meeting from an organizational standpoint. It’s a rigorous product,” he says.
