PaperWise
Connect is a web content management system and framework that
allows businesses to securely share or exchange documents,
services, or information with others 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The PaperWise document management system acts as a solid foundation
for the input, storage, retrieval, and flow of documents throughout
an organization. PaperWise Connect leverages this foundation
by providing an interface for the exchange of documents and
information. This enhances business relationships by meeting
the needs and desires of both companies and the internal and
external publics with which they interact.
PaperWise Connect offers businesses with a content management tool to customize the functionality and design of a public facing website. A standard design package has been preconfigured by PaperWise and includes a homepage, documents, form, upload, calendar, news, video, and contact sections. Customers can choose to implement the standard package, modify sections, or work with the PaperWise team to create a completely custom site.
The homepage from the preconfigured site is made up of a series of independent controls that perform specific functions. These controls are referred to as widgets. For example, a Twitter widget may be added that includes company twitter feeds. A Facebook widget could be added as well. Other widgets are available such as industry news from Bing or weather information from the Weather Channel. Custom widgets can also be designed to meet specific business needs. The homepage allows for easy management of text or images displayed on the screen. Users who maintain the system do not have to be technical in order to edit or add content.
The document section in Connect provides a powerful interface between the PaperWise repository of electronic documents and logged in portal users. Documents reside safely inside the PaperWise system during the life of the document but are made accessible to customers through an easy-to-navigate web interface. The publishing of documents can be accomplished automatically by the system or manually by authorized users. Logged in Connect users are only able to see documents through the portal that relate to them.
The uploads section provides a web interface that allows users to import and index documents directly into your PaperWise system. Login and password, forms authentication, and SSL (secure socket layers) ensure documents are safely transferred across the internet reducing E&O exposure.
PaperWise SmartForms are a new addition to the PaperWise family and utilize Adobe's form designer to enable data entry and submissions directly into PaperWise. Forms that are common to your industry or organization can be easily converted into fillable forms with textboxes, drop down fields, checkboxes, and more. JavaScript is built into the forms allowing for computations within the form, routing to specific groups or individuals, and pre-population of data before the form is displayed. This is a powerful new tool that truly conforms to your business needs.
The Calendar feature allows events and event details to be published for PaperWise Connect users. Logged in users of your system can see upcoming events that span one or more days. Management of the calendar is easy and can be performed by non-technical personnel.
News and FAQ provide a means to distribute and manage valuable information in a text-based format. Users of PaperWise Connect have access to beneficial information regarding your business or processes. This knowledge base of information can be easily managed by a non-technical administrator.
Videos are a visual way to provide training for internal employees or to help educate customers. PaperWise Connect can be used as both an intranet or extranet at the same time. User roles define what portions of the site a user will see. This allows training to occur at different levels based upon the logged in user. Users can view informational videos relating to industry news while employees can view specific videos regarding company processes and procedures.
Traditional web forms can be easily developed and published to the web as a means of collecting information. Using a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get), nontechnical administrators can create, distribute, and collect information from traditional web forms without knowing any programming language. The designer uses drag and drop technology and can be created and distributed in minutes.
PaperWise Connect can be hosted with a secure socket layer (SSL) ensuring 128 bit encryption for data transmission. Each site member is required to have a unique login and password to access the site. Once authenticated, the system ensures unauthorized users cannot have access to secured data via forms authentication. Managers of the site are also required to have a login and password to access the back-end of the system. Access to certain areas of the management system is also configurable per user; this enables non-technical users to be restricted from areas that do not pertain to them, reducing errors and confusion.
Additional security is built into the system through encryption and decryption of query data when documents reside on separate servers.
Configurable user roles allow members of the site to have a different experience when visiting the portal. Web pages are associated with user roles providing an additional layer of security when accessing site information or sensitive areas.
PaperWise Connect can be hosted on the customer's server, by a third party, or on the PaperWise server.
PaperWise Connect uses Microsoft .NET user controls to extend functionality beyond the PaperWise system. This means you can integrate with a management system sharing data with the client inside the PaperWise Connect web portal. Third party systems can also be accessed enhancing business processes and data flow.
The look, feel, orientation, and display of images and data are highly configurable. PaperWise Connect can be easily styled to seamlessly integrate with your current website.
